Is xAI part of SpaceX?
Yes. On February 2, 2026, SpaceX acquired xAI, creating what TechCrunch called the world's most valuable private company. The deal valued the combined company at $1.25 trillion, TechCrunch reported. xAI had acquired X, the social network, the year before. SpaceX has since gone public, and was worth about $2.0 trillion as of October 23, 2026, according to StockAnalysis. See What Is SpaceX?.
What is SpaceXSI?
It is xAI's new name. On October 4, 2026, Musk agreed that SpaceXAI would become SpaceXSI, and the company's X account now reads "SpaceX Super Intelligence" under the handle @SpaceXSI, TeslaNorth reported. The x.ai website now uses the SpaceXSI name. Many people still call the company xAI, so this page uses both.
What is Grok Bot?
Grok Bot is a product that xAI launched on August 11, 2026. The company describes it as "AI teammates you can give real work to." Each bot has its own computer, signs into a user's apps and keeps working in the background, coming back when it needs approval.
In October 2026, Musk said Grok Bot would route each request to the best available model, including outside models such as Anthropic's Claude, Gizmodo reported. "Simple questions will route to small, fast models," Musk explained. Gizmodo also reported that Anthropic has an agreement to use SpaceX's Colossus data center to train and run Claude. "Now it is OpenAI, Anthropic, Grok, Gemini, Muse, et cetera. Everyone is now getting in the game."
On October 22, talking with Dan Ives about AI demand, Pomp said:
"Grok Bot is amazing, Instinct is amazing, Muse is amazing."
And on October 24, he described using Grok Bot to help an acquaintance sell a commercial property:
"So, I took the address and I put it into Grok Bot. And I said, hey, this thing hasn't sold. I want to try to sell it in the next 45 days."
"And then it did something that I would have never personally thought to do."
He said the agent searched local land sales and produced a list of potential buyers. That is his account; we have not verified the outcome.
